How it works

Part word search.

Every board begins with the same simple question: what can you find? From there, Werds rewards an eye for possibility—and leaves room for a little creativity at the end.

Find a word.
Then find a better one.

Connect adjacent letters to form words. Rotate and slide completed words around the board or give them a new angle to open paths you couldn’t see before.

Make every
letter count.

Letters earn points and longer words earn bonuses. Open tiles cost you, so keep rearranging until you’ve wrung every last word from the board.

Write something weird.

When the round is done, all the words you found become magnetic poetry. Arrange them, share your creation, and invite a friend to tackle the same board.

What is Werds?

Werds is a word puzzle game for iPhone that combines word search, a board you can rearrange, and magnetic poetry. Find words, work toward a higher score, then turn your discoveries into a poem.

How is Werds different from a traditional word search?

In Werds, you can slide and rotate completed words to uncover new connections. Longer words earn bonuses, while open tiles cost points. The board changes as you play, giving you new ways to improve your score. After you finish a game, you can arrange the words you found into a poem.

Can I play the same word puzzle as a friend?

Yes. Share your finished Werds game to challenge a friend to the exact same board. When you challenge a friend they'll also your poem. They can try to beat your score and create their own poem from the words they find.

Can I play Werds on iPad?

Werds is designed for iPhone but you can also play it on iPad.

Does Werds have a timer?

Werds has no timer forcing you to rush. Play at your own pace, experiment with the board, and take time to find better words or build a higher score.
